January 2, 2009 Posts from Mary Beth

I hope your New Year celebration was joyous.

There's something invigorating about opening a new calendar and starting a new year of activities. What goals have you set for yourself? Are there things you want to learn? Lose? Accomplish? A new year stretches before us, laden with possibilities. My prayer is that you will be blessed to accomplish your goals in the upcoming year.

Meanwhile, here are a few things going on in the world.

Primetime America Digest:

The first PTA Digest of the new year begins with a look back at 2008. It’s a retrospective that focuses on the persecuted church around the world. Next, with just a short time before the inauguration, Max Lucado encourages Christians to pray for the new president. And finally, John Koessler talks about leaving Paradise, from his book Stranger in the House of God. Enjoy this week’s PTA Digest. – Greg Wheatley

By the way -- you dear reader are our MVP!
